Quick Update Fri Feb 27 23:40:20 CST 2004
Mood: Tired Music of the Day: Cowboy Bebop on TV
Not much going on in my life. I've had car issues out the wazoo this week, and I haven't had much in the way of good sleep. Haven't been much for updating, other than alot of whining on LiveJournal. Hopefully my life will go back to something resembling normality in March. Cause, February has just majorly blown goats.

Valentine's Day Weirdness Sat Feb 14 08:26:45 CST 2004
Mood: Silly Music of the Day: Monkeybone on TV
Well so far this VDay has been odd. I'm semi-snowed in. I probably can drive fine, but my car's breaks aren't so hot and some people in Texas can't drive in snow too well. So I'm going to stay home, watch movies, eat cheesecake and in general be a bum.

For those people who have S/O's and forgot to get something, here's something you could offer... The Universe's Largest Diamond. *snicker*

My plans for today are pretty much the same, save I'm not going out to get my car worked on. I'm glad I have some food in the house...just not alot of soda. Eep. This could be bad. Wish me luck ;)

New DVD Player Fri Feb 13 20:33:12 CST 2004
Mood: Good Music of the Day: The One on DVD
Well I got a replacement DVD player today. My old one died while in storage, and I've had to be sans DVD on the TV since I got my stuff. But today I went to Wal-Mart and got their cheap Apex clone. First one, well lets just say it didn't work well...play about 30 seconds of a dvd then lock. Drive back, exchange for a working one. Get it all setup, and woohoo...I have DVD playback. It also does VCD's just fine, which was a problem with the last DVD player. Not bad for less than $50. *happy dance*

Nothing New Thu Feb 12 04:51:14 CST 2004
Mood: Tired Music of the Day: Dream Theater - A Change of Seasons
Not much to report, save I haven't posted in about a week. No news is, well...bleah news. ATAthoth and Tru-Namedra are both still offline, I haven't had time to figure out why Tru keeps dying, nor have I had a chance to replace ATAthoth's root drive. Maybe this weekend.

Speaking of this weekend, it's that time of the year again, Valentine's Day. Aka the Hallmark Holiday from Hell. I plan on spending Saturday the 14th watching slasher flicks and eating chinese food and drinking cider, while geeking my ass off (see above notes). Hopefully with this paycheck I can replace my dead DVD player, and get to watch my DVD's again. We'll see. But either way I do plan on renting a large number of Friday the 13th movies and watching them in honor of VD day...er Vday. ;) Bitter ? Me ? Nah.

Mood: Drained Music of the Day: None
Well, it appears I'm over most of the bleahness from the last few days. For those not in the know, I had some kind of stomach bug which had me feeling like hell. Ended up calling in sick the last two nights, not good. But at least people covered for me (Special thanks to The Grim Squeaker.) Today was better, I slept a full 8-9 hours straight, kept something more than broth down, and in general was in a better mood.

In continuing with the good mood, I have plans to take a mini-vacation in April, going down to San Antonio to play tourist. That should be fun. The Alamo, SeaWorld, Fiesta Texas, the Riverwalk. :) And it's only a few hours away by driving. So this should be good.

Not much else, looking forward to a good weekend. Going to see the movie Miracle tomorrow with some ufies. Hey, I remember watching the hockey games during the 1980 Olympics. Don't remember details, but I remember the games. That, plus catching up on laundry and general relaxing seems to be the plan of the weekend.

Taxes... Tue Feb 3 01:46:32 CST 2004
Mood: Frustrated Music of the Day: None
Some days it doesn't pay to chew through the leather straps. Saturday night I did a quick scan of my taxes, and it looked like I was getting some cash back. So today I print out the forms, and do it again...and now I owe $ 9.83. ARGH !!! I hate when I do my math bass-ackwards. And of course, I can't figure out how I got the first set of numbers. So, the plan is to leave it alone and redo my taxes tomorrow or Wednesday, and see if I get yet another number.

Of course, I'm only bitching because I thought I was getting a return. My original assumption was that I was going to be paying a metric assload, due to being on unemployment for 7 months. But I lucked out. So it's not bad, save I can't spend the money on toys. But it could be oh so much worse ;)
