Ahh, the acronymly challenged. I tend to use alot of geek jargon in my daily speech. Plus general phrases that aren't common to the Queen's English. So, a translation guide is prepared.

Vulpine to English Dictionary
• Flern: Messed up, broken, or generally not working. Comes from one of the engineers at Onramp Technologies. example: This program is really flerned.
• fsck: File System Check, a program to analyse and fix file systems. Commonly used in geek parlance to replace the word "fuck" when it is not appropriate to curse, or you're at work and you think your mail is snooped. example: Oh, I really fscked the pooch today.
• PITA: Acronym, Pain in the Ass.
• Pr0n: Like fsck, another respelling of a common word, porn, to avoid mail filters.
• Wintendo: One I stole from a friend, the having a MS Windows based computer which pretty much does nothing but play games. A Windows- Nintedo crossbreed. Scary thing is, I game more now in Linux than I ever did in Windows.

Umm, yes ? Wicca is the religion I'm formally trained in. But I'm also a follower of the Goddess Discordia, which makes me a Discordian. One does not preclude the other. Gnostic, in my dictionary, is someone who belives in direct experience of $DEITY. So you could be a gnostic Christian, a gnostic Muslim, or even a gnostic Sub- Genii. As for being a heretic, well I was born and raised Catholic, and never formally left the church. So technically, I'm still a Catholic. And therefore, I'm a heretic to the Catholic Church. But it's ok...since both me and Pope John Paul II have papal infalibility, it cancels each other out. ;)

Good question. I originally bought the domain with the idea of creating a Slashdot styled website for conspiracy theories and Discordian foo. But that's kinda fallen by the wayside. Mostly now it's used for my home network and for the little web hosting I do.

This is one of the more amusing tales (tails ?) in my life. Some years ago, me and Squeaker were watching the movie Dagon. For those who don't know, it's a adaptation of the HPL short story 'The Shadows Over Innsmouth', done by Stuart Gordon. Well, in this movie is a female character who is one of the race of seacreature hybrids that are the antagonists in the movie. This female character, named Uxia Cambarro, looks like a normal human from the waist up, save her very pale skin and rather noticible eyes. But, instead of legs, she has tentacles. (which, per wikipedia, makes her a cecaelia). In a scene in the movie she disrobes and slithers across the floor on said tentacles, bareing her posterior to the world (or at least the camera). We're watching the movie, and I hear the words, 'Well, for a squid, she does have a nice ass.' come out of my mouth. I look over at Squeaker, and his eyes are rather wide and he has a general look of shock on his face. He stated, repeatedly, that he couldn't believe I said that. To which I responded that it was probably the first time in history those specific words were spoken aloud by a human. I'm rather proud of that moment.

Here's the thing, I do think the actress who played Uxia is rather lovely. She's a Spanish actress named Macarena (yeah, it's not just a song) Gomez. So far, Dagon is the only movie I've seen her in, but I'm looking for others. She's got an interesting face, nice voice, generally attractive. Tentacles...well they don't do much for me, but I think I could deal. *wink* Plus, it would be nice to date someone who understood my Mythos facination *laughs out loud* Ok, so I'd have to move closer to the ocean, and the inlaws would be a little fishy. But, all in all, I can think of odder relationships I've had *grin*
